The Battle for Seattle, commonly know at the WTO in Seattle in 19999 ran from November 30 to December 3, 1999 when members of the World Trade Organization met in Seattle, Washington. The planned negotiations were Interrupted by massive and controversial street protests outside the hotels and the Washington State Convention and Trade Center, in what became the second phase of the anti-globalization movement in the United States.
